Global Crisis PDF Print E-mail

In our business travels around the globe, it seems that regardless of where we are or who we meet, the conversation tends to start and end with comments about the current worldwide economic meltdown.

During the third quarter of 2008, we completed our first book, The Big Gamble. There is an entire chapter—Chapter Six: The Mother of All Crises—dedicated to the looming financial crisis.  The chapter touched on the sub-prime mortgage mess and the credit crisis that had already begun to impact global markets.  We also warned that these events were only the early signs of a financial meltdown that could reach epic proportions.

Today’s headlines tell the rest of the story.

Since our interests are global in nature, we’d like to focus this section of our website on markets and economies around the world.  This will allow you to monitor how each country is weathering the storm and better understand how inter-related the world’s economies actually are.

We will begin with Iceland, but in the coming weeks, we’ll be including reports from other points on the international stage, as well as continually add updated news for each one.
